The Heba Language Trust has opened applications for its 2027 graduate scholarship, offering five fully-funded places for students researching Marghi (Heba) linguistics, phonology, and oral literature.
Each award covers tuition, a field research stipend, and access to the Trust's recording equipment library. Scholars are expected to deposit transcripts and recordings into the community archive at the end of their fieldwork.
Priority is given to proposals working on under-documented dialect clusters and on the transmission of folktales among younger speakers.
