HRH Mai Ibrahim Marghi

Ascending the throne in 1978, Mai Ibrahim Marghi inherited a chieftaincy in transition and used it to make cultural preservation a matter of public policy.

He convened the first council of elders dedicated to recording oral histories and opened the palace archive to researchers and to the community alike.
